Hiya Jan. I just received the parts to repair this burnout oven. There is also a broken wax injector I need to fix.?The fix is very easy, but the part I need is on back order. So I get to drill new mounting holes in 2-3 weeks. Sad to say, I have another wax injector to repair. Three pieces of equipment that failed within days of each other. 😳. Have a great day. Take care.

Jan there are a few bits and pieces of the original Wright Flyer flown at Kitty Hawk. It wasn’t a big plane so pieces of the original fabric covering are distributed across several museums. The full scale model is made to the original using the same type of wood and cloth. The original wooden frame was recovered in 1985 and is on display in Washington DC. The tree gliders that the Wrights built before the powered airplane were disposed by the Wrights since they weren’t interesting to them. Sad that the original engine does not exists: the crankcase was broken, but the camshaft and other remains bits were loaned to an exhibit in New York City and were lost. Have a great day Jan!

Ugh, we had days of dry lightning swirling around our place while a few miles away had at least a little rain. We did have a huge downpour while we were gone, but nothing for several weeks. But the rain we got footage for included lightning within 1/4 mile of our house! Training for Rufous has been lagging - our fenced yard is overgrown. All of our weed whacking equipment is down 😟. The electric trimmer died right before we left and the gas powered string trimmer starts but quits. Ugh! Have a wonderful day! Take care.

Steve we were relieved when the rain showed up. Days of thunderstorms but no rain had us on edge. Arizona had many fires caused by lightning. No w southern Arizona has flooding from monsoons and a few tornados just to liven things up! On the good side, our temperatures have broken at least for the next week. Have a great week Steve. Jan, you got the image about right! The SCA tris to recreate a medieval type of culture. Some is more accurate than others. You might have noticed that the people are mostly older - in their late 60s or 70s. This is unusual because the people at this event are a good cross section of the normal current population. This very small gathering had a high opercetage of old people because the person receiving the award was in her mid 70s and had provided service for more than 25 years! Take care friend!

@@uppanadam we’re seeing tons of wind turbine across the panhandle region of Texas. Tons of solar farms all over the place. Newer installations put the panels up higher so farming can still be done underneath. Kind of a cool idea. Cows sure like some shade! Take care.

Poor weather limited our ability to film during the long drive followed by communications “challenges” that complicated uploads until late last night 😟. @@ryan-x3e our greenhouse is covered with clear greenhouse poly. When we recover in a few years we may use a less transmissive poly since we’ve found that most veggies that we grow do not need the intensity of our sun here at 5280’.
